Safety is a top priority in FLIPT Kids. In order to maintain safe adult to child ratios, we need the help of all parents that regularly attend CrossCurrent with children over 4 months of age that utilize the FLIPT Kids program.
All regular attendees of CrossCurrent who have children in the FLIPT Kids program (which includes children from 4 months through fifth grade) are asked to:
1. Commit to at least one adult from your family volunteering one Sunday a month in FLIPT.
OR
2. Voluntarily withhold your child from FLIPT Kids if you are not able to regularly serve and our child to adult ratio becomes out of balance.
Either option would help us adjust our ratios to the appropriate levels and keep us from the embarrassment of having to turn away a child at the door.
There are a few things to consider regarding this policy:
- We desire to place volunteers in a role within FLIPT Kids that fits their gifting and abilities. Schedules are, however, built on a first come, first served basis.
- Our weekly teaching is posted online mid-week for those who serve so that they can hear the message.
Exceptions to the policy:
- We want to give parents with newborns the chance to settle into their new roles before asking them to serve . They will not be required to serve until their babies are 4 months old.
- We do not want to ask parents to serve until they have attended CrossCurrent for 6 months.
- Occasionally there are extenuating circumstances that make it difficult for parents to serve for a season. If you feel that you need to be excused from serving please contact Jim Whittaker at Jimwhittaker@crosscurrent.org to set up a time to discuss your situation.
Thank you for your cooperation!
