Children are a vital part of our CrossCurrent congregation, and we welcome them to our service. Most Sundays, our services are developed to guide people of all ages and walks of life to experience God and confront relevant truth. We also strive to develop services that meet people in the dark and broken places of their lives, and raise the tough questions that many churches are afraid to address, so that we can bring God's truth and healing to those places within us.
Therefore, our Sunday morning programming will occasionally include some elements that may be inappropriate for certain younger children as we address relevant topics for the adults in our ministry. We will make every effort to alert parents on these Sundays to be aware of which service elements may contain this content, and what the content is, to allow parents to make informed decisions on how to guide the children through the service.
To do this, we will be using a "PG-13" symbol listed next to the service element in the bulletin, and then provide a brief description of the element in another place in the bulletin. Some parents will choose to allow their children to observe the element, but should guide them through what they are seeing; other parents may opt to not have their children in the service for that element.
For those parents who opt to not have their children present, we would recommend our church's excellent children's ministry, Flipt. We will also provide an indication of the content of the upcoming week's service in the bulletin listing called "Next Sunday...".
