While knowing Christ is what drives life transformation, our day-to-day journey is greatly improved by living life side-by-side with other people who are also exploring and growing in their faith. Being in real-life, authentic community with other believers provides opportunity for support, encouragement, counsel, prayer, care, inspiration, and accountability—all ingredients that are essential for achieving fuller life in Christ. CrossCurrent believes living in community is so essential that we mark it as one of our six core values: "Life change will occur best in small groups, therefore every believer should be part of a small group."
One of the easiest ways to plug into real-life Christian community is to get to know ten or twelve other people in a laid back, down-to-earth setting like a small group. CrossCurrent small groups get together regularly (weekly, bi-weekly, even monthly) to hang out together, resource each other, serve together, and help shape each other’s lives.
The main point of small groups is to hang out, get to know each other as real people, connect over real life, and discover a very real God. All of the CrossCurrent small groups work toward one essential end: helping people figure out how to progress one step closer to full life in Christ. If you've never been part of a small group, take a moment and check out the possibilities. Feel free to give the leaders a call and ask questions. Get involved in one today!

"A Man's Spirit" is a sanctuary-type small group designed for men committed to becoming stonger in their faith and called to stepping up and becoming better men of Christ.
Do you ever feel like you struggle to find ways to connect with people from other religious backgrounds, whether it be at work or in the mall? This men's bi-weekly small group is currently focusing on learning the basics of all the major world religions, their similarities and differences to Christianity and how to spread Jesus' message to them. Each lesson focuses on a different religion and how to make connections with the people that practice that religion.p>

As women we are constantly balancing life, family, work, children, friends, and activities. Unfortunately it is all too common amidst the chaos, to find our spiritual journey being put on the shelf. Small groups can strengthen relationships within the church family and create an accountability in our spiritual lives that is often lacking. We dislike God as He really is, and so we run away from Him like Jonah or hide from Him like Adam. Where we end up when we do this is a place called “borderland,” a strange and safe place that promises nothing and delivers nothing. I would love to have you join us as we confront a God we cannot control.

XC Mamas is a small group for moms at all stages of life. We provide fellowship through such activities as home play dates, meeting at
local parks, mom night outs, and family events. As a small group we are dedicated to prayer, serving each other during times of need,
building mentor relationships between new and experienced moms, and reaching out to our community. We desire to help moms use their giftings
to serve other moms, children, and community. If you are interested in joining our small group please email us at xcmamas@gmail.com.
This outreach small group is called "Michael's Marauders" and will be "actively seeking out the lost and freeing the captive." Its focus is building the capacity of the members to share Jesus in a competent and honest manner and take it to the streets.
Using a common passion for motorcycles, we'll be taking 2 weekend rides to special events and biker hangouts, as well as participating as a group in events like the Memorial Day "Ride to the Wall." We'll be trying to bring the lost and seekers God shows us to church on Sundays.
This small group will be diving intensively into the spiritual disciplines, spiritual gifts, and how to apply scripture for full devotion to Christ. Designed for the Christian who wants to go deep into their spiritual walk, we will study the Bible and classic Christian theologians and church fathers to get a full picture of what a seriously committed Christ-follower looks like. Not for the person who wants to stay in the mediocre, we will challenge each other to go deep and go real in following Jesus with our entire lives!
Hosted at Chris Osterman's house.
Are you struggling with making ends meet? Do you run out of money before you run out of month? Want to get started on a budget, but don't know where to begin? Do you have questions about how to do your finances God's way?
Have you every wanted to discuss questions like one moral truth, Jesus lunatic, great teacher, or God, or any other taboo topic not fit for polite company, but for deep discussions. During the next 10 weeks we will be studying the book, Mere Christianity.
Do you have a desire to eat healthy meals but find yourself making poor dietary choices? In spite of any good intentions you might have, do you end up eating poorly due to stress, boredom, depression, tiredness, or simply lack of nutritional knowledge?
Please join the Healthy Living small group where we will examine the obstacles we encounter daily in making the best nutritional choices for our health. The goal
of the group is to provide a supportive and motivating environment to overcome any challenges we may face in properly loving, nourishing, and caring for ourselves.
With God's help we will seek to accomplish this by making Him the center of our efforts, and will:
- Review and discuss Bible verses to help strengthen and encourage us to overcome obstacles that hamper our dietary and health goals,
- Discuss the daily challenges we face in making the best choices for our optimum health and wellbeing and,
- Educate ourselves in nutrition and ways to maintaining a healthy diet.
With the Lord's help--and as a Team--we can support and encourage one another to take charge of our eating habits! Hope to see you there!
Two are better than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up...Two people can resist an attack that would defeat one person alone. A rope made of three cords is hard to break. -- Ecclesiastes 4:9 (TEV)
This three week Small Group is a starting point to going beyond just attending the Sunday service. In these sessions you will have the opportunity to learn the values and vision of Cross Current and a chance to meet others. Whether you are exploring the claims of Christ or continuing your journey towards living a Christ-centered life, we want to welcome you.
The Churches continued growth leans heavily upon its structure of discipleship. Faithful me and women must instruct, exhort, and encourage young believers in the LORD. No better example of such Biblical discipleship exists than what is recorded in the Apostle Paul's second letter to his son in faith Timothy. Careful attention to Paul's committed investment in Timothy will remind you of important principles for growth - be courageous, guard the truth, work faithfully, endure and be faithful to the WORD. Don't miss this outstanding opportunity to increase your heart for discipleship and to make a difference for the LORD in your church today.
The restoration of the heart walking moment by moment with God, by exploring the truth of the God's word and experiencing the power of His Holy Spirit.
Every weekend, members of the Technical Arts Ministry set up, run, and tear down the technical equipment that supports CrossCurrent services. Our mission is to build meaningful relationships while ministering to CrossCurrent through technical excellence. We specialize in audio reinforcement, video recording, multimedia, and stage lighting.
The typical time commitment is one weekend a month, Saturday evening and Sunday morning. No experience is necessary, but a good attitude and a willingness to learn and work well with others is essential.
Calling adults that have children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren or other students that you’d like to surround in prayer. This small group will focus on prayer for these students and the adults in their lives. We will meet every other Monday night from 7:00 – 8:00pm and bring these needs before the Lord for His guidance and intervention. Bring your Bible and your prayers, the rest the Lord will provide.
The vision is that the prayer team would be a ministry of trust and encouragement. Those who desire prayer would willingly come forward without reservations or fear, but in trust of confindentiality. Knowing that someone is there to listen, pray and encourage.
"I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none. Lord, give us the wisdom and strength to stand in the gap for those who cannot. Amen."
