CrossCurrent Ministries is a church aimed at providing a culturally relevant experience of Jesus Christ to people of all different walks of life, of all different ages, from all different points on their spiritual journey. CrossCurrent is an imperfect church, where imperfect people gather to be real, to be safe, and to be changed.

The purpose of CrossCurrent Ministries is to build relationships with God and people, growing together to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

We intentionally design our ministry to speak and demonstrate the truths of Jesus Christ to unchurched and unconvinced people. Our goal is to help people understand the truths of the Bible, and to experience an authentic and biblical expression of Christianity, while honoring their process of decision making, and allowing them the space and time to sort through what they believe and why.

CrossCurrent's Core Values

We believe in some pretty important values, drawn from the Bible. They are the truths that drive us in how we design our services, build our ministry, and walk through our relationships with each other. Everything we do, every decision our leadership makes, every program we design is filtered through the lens of these core values. These values are:

Ministry should be prayer-centered, God-breathed, and we should expect God to transform the lives of people who are a part of CrossCurrent, to make full devotion to Christ just plain normal.

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. — Acts 2:42-43

People are looking for authentic relationships, therefore everything we do should place accepting relationships first, regardless of a person's behavior, beliefs, or skills.

Lost people matter to God, and therefore ought to matter to us. Our ministry should have as its highest mission to intentionally seek out non-believing people to communicate God's love to them.

I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of angels of God over one sinner who repents. — Luke 15:10

Excellence in everything we do should be a priority, for excellence honors God and is an act of worship.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. — Colossians 3:23-24

Life change will occur best in small groups, therefore every believer should be part of a small group.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! — 2 Corinthians 5:17

People are looking for a place of significance and service; therefore, every person should be given the opportunity to use their gifts and talents, even if their skill is not superb.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. — 1 Peter 4:10
