CrossCurrent - What We Do

Small groups are where it gets REAL! There are lots of new groups and one close to you. -------

Every Sunday morning at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m., we meet for a laid back time of worship and teaching. The atmosphere is casual�come as you are�but be prepared to encounter a living God. We're presently holding our Sunday services in a temporary location, Eagle Ridge Middle School, in The Broadlands area of Ashburn. We also have an excellent Children's Ministry with a full service designed for children ages 4 though 5th grade, as well as an excellent nursery. We also have an exciting Youth Ministry for 6th through 12th graders.

Our music style is alternative with a full band. Our approach is non-traditional, using dramas, dances and other creative elements. CrossCurrent is a safe place for anyone, regardless of your age or where you are in your spiritual journey. You will be invited to investigate the claims of a radical named Jesus Christ with us, as we explore how He impacts real life issues in our world.

Most Sunday messages are now online in streaming video, streaming MP3 and downloadable MP3 by Tuesday evening. Its a good way to hear messages you missed, share it with a friend, or prepare for further discussion on the topic in your mid-week small group.. Go to online archives.

Need Prayer? - If you have a need and would like someone to pray with you, our prayer team is available every Sunday following each service. Look for individuals with ‘prayer team’ i.d. tags gathered in the left-hand (stage left) corner of the auditorium. Each Sunday morning @ 8:30 am we meet at the end of the second hall on the right to pray for the services. Please come if you would like to join us. We love to see new faces!

What's a small group and why should I be in one? While knowing Christ is what drives life transformation, our day-to-day journey is greatly improved by living life side-by-side with other people who are also exploring and growing in their faith. Being in real-life, authentic community with other believers provides opportunity for support, encouragement, counsel, prayer, care, inspiration, and accountability—all ingredients that are essential for achieving fuller life in Christ. CrossCurrent believes living in community is so essential that we mark it as one of our six core values: "Life change will occur best in small groups, therefore every believer should be part of a small group."

One of the easiest ways to plug into real-life Christian community is to get to know ten or twelve other people in a laid back, down-to-earth setting like a small group or one of our ministry teams. CrossCurrent small groups and ministry teams get together regularly (weekly, bi-weekly, even monthly) to hang out together, resource each other, serve together, and help shape each other’s lives.

The main point of small groups is to hang out, get to know each other as real people, connect over real life, and discover a very real God. All of the CrossCurrent small groups work toward one essential end: helping people figure out how, to progress one step closer to full life in Christ.
